"The article discusses digital preservation. Digital preservation, according to the article, is a set of activities aimed a ensuring access to digital materials over time. Activities that ensure digital files are safe, unaltered, and readable from media are part of sound storage-management practices and not unique to the digital preservation realm. The core international standard for digital preservation repositories is the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) reference model."
